Pedalling to Paris

Brammer has helped boost the fundraising efforts of a trio of friends, who have raised money for the Royal British Legion by hopping on their bikes and pedalling from London to Paris – in just four days.

Graham Darch, Chris Jupp and Andrew Winter travelled a total of 460km as part of the Royal British Legion’s Pedal to Paris 2011 ride, marking the organisation’s 90th anniversary. The group provides welfare to the whole armed forces family, which includes those serving, ex-service and their dependents.

In its 16th year now, the Pedal to Paris 2011 ride also saw 300 cyclists joined by Laura Wright, the talented English soprano.

Brammer’s donation has helped them raise nearly £3,000.

Graham Darch explained: “We chose the Royal British Legion because it is a long-established charity, which does so much for our armed forces. The Royal British Legion is about leaving a legacy and you truly feel that having completed the ride you have done your bit to recognise the contribution the men and women who serve make.”
